Pop superstar Beyoncé will reportedly campaign alongside US presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The 32-time Grammy winner with hundreds of millions of fans around the world is to perform with the Democrat on Friday in Houston, Texas, according to several US media outlets.

The event, which will also feature country legend Willie Nelson, is one of the highlights of the US election campaign finale. On November 5, Harris (60) will face Republican Donald Trump (78) in the battle for the White House.

A few months ago, Beyoncé - one of the most successful female artists of all time and record Grammy winner - gave Harris permission to play her hit "Freedom" as a campaign anthem at events. There had already been speculation about a possible performance by Beyoncé at the Democratic Party convention in August - but in the end it never happened.

The 43-year-old singer is one of many stars from the US show business who actively support Harris. On Thursday, for example, the Democrat was scheduled to perform alongside former President Barack Obama and music icon Bruce Springsteen ("Born in the USA"). Talk show host Oprah Winfrey and actor Robert De Niro have also spoken out publicly in support of Harris.

And what about Taylor Swift?

Speculation about a possible joint appearance by Harris and the currently biggest pop star continues - but there has been no confirmation of an event with Taylor Swift so far. The 34-year-old Swift, who recently broke all records with her Eras tour and even gave a measurable boost to the economies of some countries with her performances, spoke out publicly in favor of Harris back in September.
