Federal Council election Nidwalden cantonal councillor considers Federal Council candidacy

Karin Kayser-Frutschi, a member of Nidwalden's central government, is considering a candidacy for the Federal Council. However, the Director of Justice and Security wants to take a few more days to make a decision.

Kayser-Frutschi told the Keystone-SDA news agency on Wednesday that serving on the Federal Council would be an enormous commitment. She therefore wanted to examine the issue carefully and also discuss it in her personal environment.

However, the government councillor emphasized that she considers it an honour and recognition to be among the candidates for the Federal Council.
