According to Israel's army, several Hamas members have once again been killed in the Gaza Strip. A commander of the weapons production department was killed in a targeted airstrike on a former school building, the Israeli military and the Israeli domestic intelligence service Shin Bet announced.

A Hamas company commander was also killed in last week's airstrike on a Hamas command center that had previously served as a school. In addition, six other Hamas members were eliminated, including a man who had been involved in the massacre in Israel on October 7, 2023.

According to Palestinian reports, there are always many civilian casualties in the attacks and battles in the Gaza Strip. Israel's army always emphasizes that it is taking measures to reduce the risk to civilians.

According to Palestinian reports, the former school building in question has also previously been the target of deadly Israeli attacks. Displaced people are said to have been housed there. Israel's army has previously spoken of a Hamas command center embedded in the building.

The claims of both sides could not initially be independently verified.
