Following the attacks by mostly pro-Palestinian youths on Israeli football fans in Amsterdam, Israel's National Security Council has called on citizens in general to exercise caution at events abroad. They should avoid sporting and cultural events outside Israel in which Israeli teams or artists are taking part, as the newspaper "Haaretz" reported, citing the Security Council. This warning also applies to the Nations League match between France and Israel on Thursday in Paris.

In the night from Thursday to Friday, there were targeted attacks on Israeli fans after a football match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The attacks were condemned as anti-Semitic violence. In contrast, a basketball match in Bologna between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Virtus Segafredo Bologna on Friday remained calm.
