USA Federal police FBI: Fake videos circulating for the US election

In connection with the US election, the FBI is warning of manipulated videos that allegedly originate from the US Federal Police. One video talks about the threat of terrorism at polling stations and calls on Americans to vote by mail. Another video is about alleged voter fraud by inmates in five prisons, it said. Both videos are not authentic, the authority explained.

"Attempts to deceive the public with false content about threat assessments and FBI activities are aimed at undermining our democratic process and eroding confidence in the electoral system," the FBI warned. The agency did not name a possible author of the fake videos. It had recently warned of potential Russian influence on the election.
