A drone attack by Ukraine has set fire to a fuel depot in the Russian border region of Belgorod. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly, while the Russian military shot down several drones.

During the night, a drone attack occurred in Stary Oskol, a town in the Russian border region of Belgorod, which caused a fire in a tank farm. The fire department responded quickly and successfully contained the flames, as the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced on Telegram. Fortunately, there were no reports of deaths or injuries.

The Russian military reported that a total of 13 Ukrainian drones were shot down during the night. Nine of these drones were intercepted in the Belgorod region, while two each were neutralized in the neighboring regions of Bryansk and Kursk. These incidents are part of a larger conflict in which Moscow has been systematically attacking civilian targets in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

Ukraine's strategic targets

Ukraine has intensified its drone attacks, targeting not only military installations but also the fuel supply and logistics of the Russian armed forces. This strategy is intended to hinder the advance of the Russian army and limit its operational capabilities.
