Hollywood stars, icons of the fashion world and a famous ape researcher: shortly before the end of his term in office, US President Joe Biden wants to honor 19 celebrities with the highest civilian award in the USA. The so-called Medal of Freedom will be awarded on Saturday to football star Lionel Messi, basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson, fashion designer Ralph Lauren, actors Michael J. Fox and Denzel Washington and rock musician Bono from the band U2, among others, the White House announced.
