Death Man dies after assault in Büren an der Aare

A 62-year-old man died last Thursday evening in a bar in Büren an der Aare BE after physically and verbally assaulting people. Employees of a private security company used pepper spray and brought the man to the ground.

The Bern cantonal police were alerted shortly after 9 p.m. due to a medical emergency in the bar. Despite immediate rescue measures, the 62-year-old man from the canton of Bern died on the spot.

The cause of death is still unclear, and the police are investigating in all directions, as they wrote in a statement on Monday.
