USA Death toll from forest fires around Los Angeles rises to five
The death toll in the devastating forest fires in and around Los Angeles has risen to at least five. More deaths are expected, Sheriff Robert Luna told radio station KNX News on Wednesday.

"I really pray that we don't find any more, but I don't think that's going to be the case," Luna said, referring to the death toll. After all, the situation is still very unstable and there is "zero containment on this fire".
The forest fires, which are being fanned by strong gusts of wind on several fronts in the north of the Californian metropolis of millions, are affecting the posh suburb of Pacific Palisades, among others. Tens of thousands of people in the burning areas have been ordered to evacuate. Dozens of houses have already burned down.
