Winter sports 80-year-old skier from Basel dies in the Bernese Oberland

An 80-year-old skier from Basel died in an accident in the Adelboden-Lenk ski area on Monday. The Bern cantonal police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, as they announced on Tuesday.

According to initial findings, the skier was skiing on a marked piste when he fell for an unknown reason and remained motionless. The emergency services were only able to determine the man's death on site.
