Three of seven scheduled games in the North American basketball league NBA had to be canceled on Sunday night - due to a snowstorm or bush fires.
Among the games that did not take place was that of Switzerland's Clint Capela with the Atlanta Hawks against the Houston Rockets. Due to a snowstorm in Georgia, spectator safety could not have been guaranteed.
No major sporting events are currently taking place in Los Angeles due to the blazing bushfires in the surrounding area. The home games of the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers have also been canceled to avoid putting additional strain on the emergency services.
