Lara Gut-Behrami is on the verge of her 92nd podium finish in the World Cup. The skier from Ticino is in 2nd place in the super-G in Beaver Creek after 30 racers have started.
Gut-Behrami is almost half a second behind the leading Italian, Sofia Goggia. Third in the intermediate classification is the surprising Austrian Ariane Rädler, who lost only seven hundredths of a second to Gut-Behrami.
Rädler's compatriot Cornelia Hütter, victorious in the downhill the day before in Colorado ahead of Goggia and Gut-Behrami, followed in fourth place.
Michelle Gisin was the second-best Swiss racer in the first super-G of the season in 9th place.
