England star Jude Bellingham is facing consequences for his goal celebration after the 1-1 stoppage-time draw against Slovakia.
UEFA has opened an investigation ahead of England's quarter-final against Switzerland on Saturday, the continental governing body announced on Monday.
Bellingham hinted at a crotch grab after the 1-1 draw that took England into extra time, which could be interpreted as an insult towards the Slovakian substitutes' bench. The midfielder defends himself against this interpretation. "That was an insider's comment to a few of my friends who were in the stadium. Nothing but respect for Slovakia and how they played today", the Real Madrid player explained via video on X.
