William cheered on England at the European Football Championships

On Thursday evening, William cheered on the English national team in the group match of the European Football Championship against Denmark at the stadium in Frankfurt. There, together with Denmark's King Frederik X. (56) and his daughter Princess Josephine (13) smiled for the cameras. The game ended 1:1.

William is President of the English Football Association (FA). He is also a football enthusiast in his private life and is a fan of Birmingham Premier League club Aston Villa.

Cancer diagnoses overshadowed last year

The Prince of Wales has had a difficult year, which is likely to have been marked by worries about his loved ones.

King Charles was diagnosed with cancer, followed by his wife Kate, and he also temporarily withdrew from his royal duties in order to be there for his children.

The situation has since improved somewhat. The King can be seen in public again on a regular basis, with Kate making her first appearance at the "Trooping the Color" birthday parade last weekend. In a social media post shortly beforehand, she gave rare insights into her life with chemotherapy: "I'm making good progress," she wrote. But she is not out of the woods yet.

William is also likely to have been burdened by the ongoing dispute with his brother Harry (39).

The siblings, who were once considered inseparable, have been at loggerheads for several years.
