Julie Zogg narrowly misses out on her third podium finish in December. The 32-year-old from St. Gallen finished fourth in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza, Italy.
Zogg was narrowly beaten in the small final by world champion Tsubaki Miki from Japan. The Swiss skier was 13 hundredths off the fastest qualifier. The winner was Zogg's semi-final opponent Jasmin Coratti, who triumphed in her home country ahead of Poland's Aleksandra Krol-Walas.
It was Zogg's third appearance in the finals in her fifth parallel race of the season. She had previously finished third in the slaloms in Mylin and Yanqing in China.
Things went less well for Ladina and Dario Caviezel. Both failed in the round of 16.
