Just over a month after parting ways with Jan Cadieux, Genève-Servette has appointed Yorick Treille as head coach. The 44-year-old Frenchman has signed a contract until 2026.
Treille, an assistant at Genève-Servette since 2022, has been interim coach together with Rikard Franzén since Cadieux's dismissal. During this time, Geneva only won four out of eleven championship games and lost to the ZSC Lions in the semi-finals of the Champions Hockey League. Nevertheless, the club decided to continue on its chosen path with Treille.
Servette signed the Swede Stefan Hedlund as assistant, who also signed a contract until the end of next season. Franzén will remain with the team until the end of the current season.
