The Nashville Predators with captain Roman Josi are off to a disastrous start to the season. The Bernese's team is still without points after four games.

In the 2:4 home defeat against the Edmonton Oilers, Josi made two appearances as a passer. However, his colleagues' two goals were not enough to finally score. The close game was ultimately decided by an empty-netter. After three opening defeats, the Oilers got back on track with their second win, while the Predators remain on the sidelines. The last time the season opener failed to this extent was in 2022.

In contrast to Nashville, the Vancouver Canucks managed their first win with Pius Suter in the fourth game. The 3:2 victory over the Florida Panthers came in overtime. This was the third time in this championship that the Canucks went into overtime.

The Los Angeles Kings with Kevin Fiala were also under pressure after three defeats in a row. With a 4:1 away win at the Montreal Canadiens, they managed to break the deadlock with ease. Fiala remained scoreless for once.

Three scoring points for Moser

In contrast to Janis Moser. The defenseman from Biel contributed one goal and two assists to the Tampa Bay Lightning's 4:3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. No other player scored three points that night at the Amalie Arena in Florida. With six points from three games, the Lightnings have an unblemished record.

The Swiss faction of the New Jersey Devils left the ice as winners. Nico Hischier, Timo Meier with an assist and Jonas Siegenthaler won 3:1 away at the Ottawa Senators. The Devils lead the Eastern Conference table with five wins from seven games. Philipp Kurashev was also among the winners with the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night (4-2 against the San Jose Sharks).
