After two-thirds of the stint, all four Swiss clubs are on course for the round of 16 in the Champions Hockey League. Lausanne and defending champions Servette are coming off another win.
Of the Swiss representatives, only Fribourg-Gottéron had to admit defeat in Saturday's games. The Fribourg team lost 3:7 at Czech champions Ocelari Trinec after conceding two goals in the final minute.
Genève-Servette and Lausanne, on the other hand, were successful. Geneva beat Ilves Tampere from Finland 4:3 in their exile in the Upper Valais. Servette are currently playing their home games in Visp due to the renovation of their home ice rink Les Vernets. There was a premiere: Austrian Julia Kainberger was the first woman to officiate a Champions Hockey League game.
Fribourg-Gottéron and Servette both have two wins after four of six games in the preliminary round. Like the ZSC Lions, who face Salzburg on Sunday, Lausanne is even in the top group. The hard-fought 3:1 away win in Szekesfehervar in Hungary was the third success in the fourth game for last year's play-off finalists.
This means that all four Swiss clubs in the Champions Hockey League are currently among the top 16 in the interim rankings and would therefore qualify for the round of 16.
