Two-time Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee has had enough of top-class sport. The 36-year-old Briton announces his retirement.
"It's time to end this chapter," Brownlee writes on social media. He is one of the most successful triathletes over the Olympic distance.
His Olympic victories came at the 2012 Games in London and 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. He is the only one in his sport to have won twice in a row under the five rings.
