In the final of the Louis Vuitton Cup, the preliminary stage of the America's Cup, Team Britannia and Luna Rossa are still tied 1:1 after the second day of racing.

In difficult wind conditions with a few lulls, both teams ran out of time to score points off the coast of Barcelona.

After a wait of around two hours, Alinghi conqueror Britannia made a better start to the day and was 19 seconds ahead at one point. However, the boat of star skipper and four-time Olympic champion Sir Ben Ainslie also came to a standstill. Three exciting overtaking maneuvers ultimately remained the highlights of the day.

The duel for participation in the America's Cup against defending champion New Zealand on Sunday will continue in the best 13 mode.
