The IIHF has announced on its website the alternative groups for the men's tournament of the 2026 Winter Olympics to be held in Milan if Russia is excluded.
In this case, France would move up and meet Switzerland, Canada and the Czech Republic in Group A. If Russia takes part, the Swiss will face Canada, Sweden and hosts Italy.
