There were two Swiss duels in the NHL on Sunday night. Janis Moser kept the upper hand against the trio from New Jersey, as did Pius Suter against Philipp Kurashev.

Janis Moser won the home game against the New Jersey Devils 4-0 with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Biel defenceman did not have his stick in play on any of the goals. Despite the defeat, the Devils with the Swiss trio of Nico Hischier, Timo Meier and Jonas Siegenthaler remain in first place in the Eastern Conference.

The Winnipeg Jets are still the best team in the league in terms of points. However, the team with Nino Niederreiter had no chance in the 5-0 loss in Florida. It was the Jets' third defeat of the season, their second in a row and their first without scoring a goal.

Pius Suter was the only Swiss player to get on the scoresheet on Saturday. The Zurich forward won the Swiss duel with the Vancouver Canucks against Philipp Kurashev and the Chicago Blackhawks 4:1. Suter provided the assist for the 3:1 into the empty net. It was his eighth goal of the season.

Kevin Fiala also celebrated a home win with the Los Angeles Kings with the same result. However, the MVP of the last World Championship was unable to stop his personal negative streak against the Detroit Red Wings. Fiala has now gone five games without a goal.
