Swiss ski racer Jasmina Suter suffers a meniscus injury in her left knee during the downhill in Cortina d'Ampezzo on Saturday and has to undergo surgery.
The operation on the 29-year-old from Schwyz, who suffered the injury after a hard landing following a jump, will take place next week, as Swiss-Ski announced. "How long the absence will last can only be determined after the operation," team doctor Walter O. Frey is quoted as saying in the association's press release.
Suter has finished in the points four times this season, including the day after suffering the injury in the Super-G.
