Genève-Servette reacts to the loss of goaltender Gauthier Descloux by signing the Finn Antti Raanta until the end of the season.

The 35-year-old has been in the NHL since 2013 and has played 301 games in the best ice hockey league in the world. Raanta won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015, although he was not used in the playoffs. His last stop in the NHL was with the Carolina Hurricanes. Geneva now has seven foreigners under contract. Raanta will compete with Robert Mayer for the No. 1 position.

Servette also announced that Christophe Cavalleri will be out for five to six weeks. The 22-year-old forward broke a bone in his hand and underwent surgery on Friday.
