Thanks to two powerplay goals, the SCL Tigers win the derby against SC Bern 2:1 after overtime - after two home games without scoring.

After 78 seconds of overtime, Bern's Waltteri Merelä was sent to the penalty box for tripping, which Dario Rohrbach took advantage of to score the winner for the Langnau team. It was a sense of achievement that has become rare of late.

The first good news for the SCL Tigers came in the 38th minute. After almost 170 minutes, the Emmentalers, who had started the season so strongly at home, scored once again in the Ilfis. After a 0:1 against Lausanne and a 0:2 against Kloten, the 1:0 by top scorer Aleksi Saarela in overtime was a true redemption - even if the joy was short-lived. Louis Füllemann equalized 68 seconds later.

But that was the end of the offensive fireworks. Both coaches changed their goalies after the last defeats, and both Stéphane Charlin for the Tigers and Adam Reideborn for SCB were convincing, even if they didn't have too much work to do.

SC Bern is currently going through a difficult phase. They have only won one of their last six games. The cantonal rivals are only two points behind in the table, with one game less to play.
