SC Bern starts the National League season with a derby win. The city club wins 3:1 at home against the SCL Tigers.

SC Bern and SCL Tigers also started the season a day late due to YB's Champions League match against Aston Villa on Tuesday evening. Nevertheless, the two Bernese teams took a while to get going in front of a good 15,400 spectators.

In the 12th minute, however, Marco Lehmann thanked the home team for his four-year contract extension this week by taking the lead. Fabian Ritzmann and Benjamin Baumgartner made it 2:0 and 3:0 respectively with a strong ten minutes in the middle third.

Oskars Lapinskis could do no more than make it 1:3 and the Langnau team remained harmless in the final period. The promising preparation games - ending with a win against the SCB - proved to be a pattern without value.

SC Bern started the season with a home game for the sixth time in a row and won for the fourth time. The Emmental, on the other hand, lost their season opener for the first time since 2020.
