Thanks to a furious start, the Bern Ice Skating Club wins the derby against EHC Biel 4:1 and moves closer to direct playoff qualification.

SC Bern led Biel 3-0 after just eight minutes. The Bernese are third in the table and nine points ahead of HC Fribourg-Gottéron (7th). Fribourg also scored in their twelfth game under coach Lars Leuenberger, beating EV Zug 3-2 and are currently the only team putting pressure on the top 6 in the table.

The SCL Tigers in 8th place are already eight points behind Kloten (6th). Langnau surprised again on Tuesday and only lost to leaders Lausanne in overtime thanks to 50 saves (!) by Stéphane Charlin.

A total of three derbies were played on Tuesday. In Ticino, Ambri-Piotta defeated HC Lugano 2:1 on penalties. The Lakers from Obersee won the Lake Zurich duel against the ZSC Lions 4-2.

In the other games, Davos won 4-1 against Kloten, while Genève-Servette lost 4-2 to HC Ajoie in the Les Vernets Arena after leading 2-0. Playoff qualification for the 2023 champions - even via a possible play-in - is receding ever further into the distance.
