Genève-Servette will have to do without Roger Karrer for about six weeks.
The 27-year-old defenseman was hit in the face by a deflected puck and suffered a broken jaw, which required surgery, as the Geneva club announced. Karrer had replaced Noah Rod, who was also injured, as captain ad interim.
