The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have released their head coach Stefan Hedlund with immediate effect. Johan Lundskog, Fabian Gunnarsson and Janick Steinmann will take over the coaching on an interim basis.

The 49-year-old Swede joined the Lakers over three years ago and led the club to the top flight of the National League and twice to the Champions Hockey League in his first two seasons.
The current championship is a different story: Only three wins have resulted from the last 15 games. And this Sunday evening in the away game against Genève-Servette, St. Gallen will try to prevent their eighth defeat in a row. Only Ajoie are currently ranked lower.
