As expected, Noè Ponti, who is currently completing his top sport RS, is in a class of his own in the 100 m dolphin at the Swiss Short Course Championships in Sursee.

The 23-year-old from Ticino, who recently swam two world records over 50 m dolphin in the 25 m pool, beat second-placed Ilan Gagnebin by 4.1 seconds with a time of 48.59 seconds. Ponti missed his own European record, set in mid-October, by 19 hundredths.

Roman Mityukov from Geneva, Olympic bronze medallist in the 200 m backstroke, started on Friday in the 50 m crawl and won in 22.13 seconds ahead of Thomas Hallock (22.31).
