Tadej Pogacar is already in excellent World Championship form. The three-time Tour de France winner wins the World Tour race in Montreal solo.
In his second race since his third triumph at the Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar pulled away irresistibly in the final phase. The 25-year-old Slovenian from Team UAE Emirates distanced the Spaniard Pello Bilbao by 24 seconds over the 209 km around the Canadian metropolis. Two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe secured 3rd place in the sprint of the first larger field.
The World Championships are also Pogacar's last major goal of the year. In two weeks' time, he will be one of the top favorites in Zurich.
