After a month with almost only top 10 finishes, Gregor Deschwanden flies to 19th place in the qualification at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Oberstdorf. Only Deschwanden manages to qualify.
Gregor Deschwanden managed 201.5 meters. The last time he finished 23rd in the qualification in Engelberg, he was so far behind.
Norway's Johann Andre Forfang won the qualification with a flight to 236 m, which he was not able to stand correctly (skip), but despite the lower mark it was enough for him to take first place.
40 jumpers qualified for Saturday's ski flying competition. Felix Trunz (45th/176 m), Killian Peier (51st/152.5 m) and 20-year-old ski flying debutant Yanick Wasser (56th/132.5 m) were eliminated.
