The World Cup event at Big Air Chur gets off to a frustrating start from a Swiss perspective. In Friday's finals, all hopes rest on Mathilde Gremaud. Andri Ragettli fails to qualify.

Led by Andri Ragettli, all 13 Swiss men who started in the ski freestyle qualification missed the final of the top ten on Friday evening. The best result went to Nils Ryhner with a 20th place.

Mathilde Gremaud will be able to make up for her less-than-inspiring performance in the women's final in the evening. The 24-year-old overall World Cup winner from last season was the best in the qualification, but she was the only one of the four Swiss women to make it through. Sarah Höfflin finished eleventh, just seven points behind.

The finals start at 20:00.
