After fourth place at the Olympic Games, the vacations and the first month of training, Noè Ponti has made a successful return to competition.

At the World Cup in Shanghai, he lowered the European record he held for the 100 m dolphin in the 25 m pool to 48.40 seconds. The improvement amounted to seven hundredths.

The swimmer from Ticino not only set a new record, but also beat off top-class competition in the form of Dutchman Nyls Korstanje and South African Chad Le Clos.
