Noè Ponti provides the highlight on the second day of competition at the Swiss Short Course Championships in Sursee. The 23-year-old from Ticino sets his first national record over a crawl distance.

As the starting swimmer in the 5x50 m crawl relay, Ponti handed over after 21.18 seconds, beating the previous national record set by Flori Lang in 2009 by half a second.

Ponti's teammates from Uster Swimming Club, Thomas Hallock, Tino Hämmerle and Fabian Kempf, also achieved strong times. The quartet set a Swiss club record of 1:27.79.
