Single mixed relay - Niklas Hartweg normally competes in this event with Amy Baserga. The two of them were also responsible for the two previous podium finishes in this category. Two years ago, they also finished third in Pokljuka and second in Nove Mesto in the Czech Republic. For the competition in Slovenia, the team managers made a change to the line-up, replacing Amy Baserga with Aita Gasparin - and their decision was spot on.

Niklas Hartweg and Aita Gasparin secured the fifth Swiss victory in the Biathlon World Cup. Aita's older sister had won the sprints in Le Grand-Bornand in France and in Hochfilzen within a week a good eleven years ago. A year ago, Lena Häcki-Gross was the best in the individual competition in Antholz in South Tyrol and in the mass start competition in Oslo.
