Nashville strikes on the first day of free agency. Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault and Brady Skjei become teammates of Roman Josi.

With 555 goals and 1137 points in 1082 games, Steven Stamkos is already a legend at the age of 34. Drafted first overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2008, he reached the 40-goal mark in the regular season for the seventh time in his career last season. He won two Stanley Cups with Tampa Bay and signed a four-year contract with the Predators.

Jonathan Marchessault, Stanley Cup winner with the Vegas Golden Knights, also signed a four-year contract. The forward from Quebec scored 42 goals in 82 games last season.

Brady Skjei signed a seven-year contract. The 30-year-old defenseman played the last five seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes. In 80 games last regular season, he managed 47 points, including 13 goals.
