The 66-time international Max Gerbl will not be available to the national handball team for the time being for personal reasons.
The 29-year-old, who has started his third season in the Bundesliga with Hannover-Burgdorf and will continue to play there, will miss the opening games of the European Championship qualifiers against Germany and Austria in November, as well as the World Championship in Denmark, including preparation for the Yellow Cup in January.
Gerbl will be out of the national team until at least the end of January.
