The Nashville Predators with Swiss captain Roman Josi continue to struggle in this NHL season. They suffered their next narrow defeat in a 3-2 loss in Toronto.
After being beaten three times in a row in overtime, Nashville was well on its way to winning in Toronto for the first time in almost six years. They led 1-0 until the start of the final period after an early goal by Jonathan Marchessault, but then the game collapsed.
The home team made it 3:1 within four and a half minutes, with former ZSC striker Auston Matthews turning the tide with a double strike in less than two minutes. Nashville were unable to score more than the final goal by Mark Jankowski (57).
Josi extends points streak
Roman Josi recorded an assist on the Predators' opening goal, extending his point streak to six games (5 goals, 4 assists).
The team with the Bernese defenseman, which has now lost for the fifth time in a row, remains in second-last place in the Western Conference out of 16 teams.
Fiala wins with Los Angeles
Only the Chicago Blackhawks have collected fewer points this season. The team with Swiss forward Philipp Kurashev once again lost 4-2 at home to Boston.
Kevin Fiala, on the other hand, left the ice as the winner with the Los Angeles Kings. The fourth-placed team in the Western Conference defeated the Dallas Stars 3:2 at home.
