The Russian doping machinations have now brought biathlete Martin Fourcade another Olympic medal.

Because the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed a further doping offense by Yevgeny Ustyugov, the Frenchman has now been awarded gold in the mass start race at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Like Dario Cologna in cross-country skiing, Fourcade now has at least one gold medal from the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Games. The Frenchman retired on March 14, 2020 with his 79th World Cup victory. His palmarès is now adorned with six Olympic gold medals and 13 World Championship titles.
