The decisive goal for Bern was scored by defenseman Romain Loeffel 4.8 seconds before the end, after the visitors had caught up 2:4 (45.) thanks to goals by the in-form Dario Rohrbach (55.) and Aleksi Saarela (58.). After the Langnau team had won the previous two away games 3-0, they conceded three goals within 10:42 minutes in the middle period in Bern. The home team thus turned a 0:1 (15th) into a 3:1 (36th). The 3:1 was Thierry Bader's first goal of the season. Bern celebrated its fifth home win in a row against the Emmentalers.

ZSC wins thanks to two powerplay goals

On Tuesday, Genève-Servette and the ZSC Lions advanced to the semi-finals of the Champions Hockey League, where they will face each other. Three days later, they faced off in Geneva in the championship, with Zurich beating Servette 3-2 for the sixth time in a row and the third time in the current championship. Geneva caught up from 0:2 in the 31st minute thanks to two goals within 26 seconds by Alessio Bertaggia and Oula Palve respectively, but then had no answer to Derek Grant's 2:3 (37'). The assist for the 3:2 was provided by the returning Rudolfs Balcers.

Lugano with an important win

In the victories in the three previous games in Lugano, Zug only conceded one goal each time. This time the central Swiss left the ice with a 2:5 loss, with the Bianconeri's last two goals by Mark Arcobello (59th) and Marco Müller (18 seconds before the end) being "empty-netters". The latter had already been responsible for the decisive 3:2 (39'). Before that, Lugano had twice come from behind. The second win in the last nine games gives coach Luca Gianinazzi some breathing space.

Lakers spoil Bürgler's anniversary

The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers also won their second game since Johan Lundskog was promoted from assistant to head coach. They followed up Wednesday's 4-2 win over Bern with a 6-3 victory at Ambri-Piotta. Prior to that, they had lost eight games in a row. Victor Rask distinguished himself as the Lakers' double scorer. As a result, the visitors also prevailed in the third season duel between these two teams. The Rapperswilers spoiled Dario Bürgler's anniversary with the win; the 37-year-old forward played his 1,000th game in Switzerland's top league.

Home power Ajoie turns around 0:2

Ajoie at home and Ajoie away are two different teams. While the Jura side have only won one of their 13 games this season on home ice, they celebrated their seventh win in their last eight games at home against Biel with a 5-2 victory despite trailing 2-0. The match-winner for the hosts was Finland's Julius Nättinen, who scored 1:2 (31st), 3:2 (53rd) and 5:2 (58th). Ajoie scored twice in overtime, which means it has now scored 15 power-play goals in the last ten games.

Davos in a slump

Davos are in a slump shortly before the Spengler Cup. After Wednesday's 3-0 loss to the SCL Tigers, the Grisons also lost their second game after the national team break, this time 3-1 to Lausanne. The HCD played both games at home. Although the Swiss record champions took the lead thanks to Adam Tambellini (37'), LHC equalized through Joël Genazzi just 75 seconds later to make it 1-1. Davos goalie Sandro Aeschlimann looked anything but good. In the final period, Benjamin Bougro (44) and Tim Bozen (60) scored to give the visitors victory. Davos had won the first two duels of the season, scoring only three goals in regulation time in the last five games.

Fribourg dominates, Kloten wins

With a home win against Kloten, Fribourg could have won three games in a row for the first time in the current championship. The subjunctive gives it away: Gottéron suffered a 2-0 defeat. Niko Ojamäki put the visitors ahead in the 44th minute with his tenth goal of the season, Dario Meyer made it all clear 19 seconds before the end with a shot into the empty net. Sandro Zurkirchen celebrated his second shutout in the current championship thanks to 37 saves - the shot ratio in the final period was 16:2 in Fribourg's favor! It was Kloten's fifth win in the last six games
