Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari will start the final Formula 1 race of the season with a handicap on Sunday. The Monegasque will be moved back 10 places on the grid for the Abu Dhabi GP.

The penalty, which reduces Ferrari's chances of winning the Constructors' Championship, is due to a battery change outside of the permitted quota. The Scuderia declared that it would now need a miracle to close the gap to McLaren in the 24th and final Grand Prix of the season and win the world championship title that has eluded the team since 2008.
Ferrari is 21 points behind McLaren in the team standings, with a maximum of 44 points still up for grabs. In the drivers' championship, Leclerc is eight points behind Lando Norris in the McLaren in the battle for second place.
