After five losses in a row, Chicago is back to winning ways. In the second game under interim coach Anders Sörensen, the Blackhawks win 2-1 away from home against the New York Rangers.

The decisive goal was scored in the 27th minute after the visitors were pucked up in their own third. The counterattack was completed by the number 1 picks of the 2023 and 2010 NHL drafts: Connor Bedard set up Taylor Hall, who also scored the game-winning goal after assisting on the first goal of the game.

Switzerland's Philipp Kurashev, who had to make do with just under twelve minutes of ice time, was less in evidence. After 25 appearances this season, the 25-year-old has three goals and two assists to his name.

Thanks to this win, the Blackhawks are no longer the worst team in the NHL, at least for the time being. They have ceded last place in the table to the Nashville Predators with captain Roman Josi.
