The Nashville Predators have only won three games in a row once before this season, at the end of October.

Josi scored for the fifth game in a row. The defenseman from Bern notched an assist in the 2-1 win at the end of the opening period and the 3-1 win at the start of the middle period. Filip Forsberg was the match-winner for the Predators with two goals and two assists.

Start of a comeback?

In the fight for the playoffs, Nashville is absolutely dependent on winning streaks like this. The Predators are twelve points (the equivalent of six wins) behind one of the coveted spots. However, there are still 37 games to go.

Nino Niederreiter, on the other hand, has excellent prospects of making the playoffs. Despite the 3:1 home defeat against the Calgary Flames, the Grisons forward is still top of the Western Conference with the Winnipeg Jets.

Fiala loser in "private duel" with Daccord

Kevin Fiala also came off the ice as the loser on Saturday despite an assist. The St. Gallen forward had a sobering evening in Los Angeles' 2:4 away from home against the Seattle Kraken. Fiala shot ten (!) times at the opposing goal, but always found his master in goalie Joey Daccord. The Swiss-American was the man of the match for Seattle with 30 saves alongside three-goal scorer Jaden Schwartz.

Pius Suter won the Canadian duel with the Vancouver Canucks against the Edmonton Oilers 3:2. As the center of the third forward line, the Zurich native remained scoreless for the twelfth game in a row.
