Noah Dettwiler's injuries from his crash in the Japanese Grand Prix were not as serious as expected and he is planning a quick comeback in a week's time at the Australian GP.
The 19-year-old Moto3 rider from Basel suffered a fracture in his lower back and an injury to his right wrist in his crash last Sunday in Motegi. As his management announced on Friday, further examinations in Switzerland did not reveal any further injuries and Dettwiler is on schedule with his rehabilitation.
Dettwiler is therefore planning to compete in the Australian GP on Phillip Island next week. He still has to pass the medical check on site.
