Formula 1 is sticking with Shanghai for the long term. The contract with the host of the Chinese Grand Prix has been extended for a further five years until 2030.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several races in China had to be canceled recently, but the premier class of motor racing returned to the circuit this year. In the upcoming world championship season, the second Grand Prix will take place in Shanghai with the first sprint of the year.
