Arsenal win the north London derby against Tottenham and close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool FC. After 21 rounds, the Gunners are seven points behind the Reds.

Arsenal benefited from Liverpool's draw the previous day in the top-of-the-table match against Nottingham. At home against arch-rivals Tottenham, Arsenal made the difference in the closing minutes of the first half. An own goal and Belgian Leandro Trossard's first goal since the end of November turned the game around to 2:1.

Fourth-placed Newcastle, without Fabian Schär who was absent due to illness, won 3-0 at home against Wolverhampton. Alexander Isak shone with two goals. The 25-year-old striker has scored at least one goal in eight games and now has 15 goals for the season. He will challenge the Swiss defense with Sweden in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
