Thun extend their lead at the top of the Challenge League table in the Friday games of the 20th round. While Etoile Carouge lost 0:1 at Lausanne-Ouchy, Thun won 3:2 at Schaffhausen, while Wil beat Xamax 2:0.
Genis Montolio (17th minute), Layton Stewart (47th) and Nils Reichmuth (68th) scored the Thun goals. Nadjack could only reduce the deficit twice for the financially hard-pressed bottom club.
On the Lausanne Pontaise, Warren Caddy scored for Ouchy after half an hour, meaning Etoile Carouge missed out on reclaiming 2nd place.
FC Wil celebrated a deserved 2-0 win against Xamax and are still fully involved in the battle for second place.
At least until Saturday, Thun lead the table by seven points. Aarau, who have been unbeaten in the league since the beginning of November, host Bellinzona on Saturday.
