For the first time in almost exactly three years, FC Basel are top of the Super League after a complete round. While Zurich went down 4-1 at Lugano, Basel won the other top match of round 15 at home against Servette.
The match-winner for Basel was Xherdan Shaqiri. The returnee scored a hat-trick. After making it 1:0 with a free kick in the 40th minute, he scored in stoppage time, first with a penalty to make it 2:1 and then after a counter-attack to make it 3:1. Servette, who were on level terms, had made it 1:1 through Timothé Cognat in the 55th minute.
