BVB coach Sahin can count on two returning players in defense for the game in Mainz. Regular keeper Kobel is still missing but will travel to the Swiss national team.

Although Borussia Dortmund's regular keeper Gregor Kobel is still absent, the Swiss will travel to the national team after the game at FSV Mainz. BVB coach Nuri Sahin does not see this as a problem despite the ongoing personnel shortage. "He's very professional and has a good team around him," said Sahin in the morning. "I have complete faith in my players and also in the Swiss national team," said Sahin, who will continue to rely on Alexander Meyer in goal in Mainz on Saturday.

Kobel is suffering from hip problems. "Greg hasn't trained with the team again yet, so we won't be taking any risks. He'll be back against Freiburg," said Sahin. The game against the Breisgauers will take place on November 23.

Defensive duo return, Anton still missing

National defender Waldemar Anton, who has thigh problems, will continue to be absent. However, full-backs Julian Ryerson and Yan Couto will return. Ramy Bensebaini is suspended through yellow card.

Sahin refused to accept that his remaining squad was physically exhausted after two weeks in England. "Everyone is fit," insisted the 36-year-old. "It's a super important game for us tomorrow."

Dortmund have won every home game so far this season, but not an away game. The more you think about it, "the longer it sticks," said Sahin. "We're there to finally get it right away from home, to get a three-pointer."
